In just a few short hours National Novel Writing Month will begin for me. I’d like to think I’m ready.
I’ve picked a project. This year I will be a rebel and continue writing The Dreams with the goal of writing 50,000 new words in November. The past two weeks I’ve tried to take a break from writing. I’m hoping that will mean I can approach the project with fresh enthusiasm at midnight.
Right now I honestly don’t know whether I will be updating this blog much during November or not. No new posts at all and at least one post a week seem to be equally likely at this point.
Either way I am very excited to see how many chapters I will have to revise and post in December.
I will be updating my progress almost constantly on Twitter so if you’d like to know how things are going be sure to check there.
Good luck with NaNoWriMo. It’s my first year and I was going to try to keep blogging whilst writing but not read anyone else who is going to do that yet so think my inexperience might be showing already! Hope you have a great month. 🙂

I think it is better just to not put any blogging expectations on yourself if you aren’t used to writing 1,667 words a day. If it happens it’s a bonus, and if it doesn’t then it is no big deal.

A great tip, which I am going to try to take on board. It’s early days for my blog (just passed my one month anniversary) so not sure if I have been a bit adventurous with NaNoWriMo too! Time will tell.

Taking a break prior to NaNoWriMo sounds like a good idea. Good luck with everything!
