December 28

  • Project: The Dreams
  • Total word count: 82,476
  • Today’s word count: 140
  • Thoughts: I’m impressed I wrote this much considering I started to get a migraine today.
  • Tomorrow’s goal: Write some more. Feel better.

December 29

  • Project: The Dreams
  • Total word count: 82,726
  • Today’s word count: 250
  • Thoughts: Still not feeling so great. I’m actually surprised I got any writing done at all. Today was supposed to be the first day of editing for Chapter Eight, but I couldn’t focus on that and worked on a new scene instead.
  • Tomorrow’s goal: Work on editing.

December 30

  • Project: The Dreams
  • Total word count: 82,716
  • Today’s word count: -10
  • Thoughts: Finally got around to some editing today. Still not feeling so great. I’m blaming all of this on the weirdness of the holiday season this year.
  • Tomorrow’s goal: Continue editing if I can find the time.

December 31

  • Project: The Dreams
  • Total word count: 82,718
  • Today’s word count: 2
  • Thoughts: I managed to find some time to do some more editing before New Year’s Eve festivities began.
  • Tomorrow’s goal: I write might or I might not. I’m trying not to pressure myself to write on holidays.

January 1

No writing progress made. I had a wonderful holiday. We had pork and sauer kraut at my mom’s for luck. Over all it was a good day.

January 2

  • Project: The Dreams
  • Total word count: 83,039
  • Today’s word count: 321
  • Thoughts: Best writing day of the week so far! I finished editing Chapter Eight and posted it to the blog. Over all it was a great day progress-wise.
  • Tomorrow’s goal: More writing! I’m feeling really good about The Dreams right now. I want to keep it going.

January 3

  • Project: The Dreams
  • Total word count: 83,365
  • Today’s word count: 326
  • Thoughts: I’m surprised I wrote so much. The scene I’m working on is outside of my comfort zone so I’m pretty excited about writing more than a few sentences before giving up. This scene is a special request for two of my Patrons. I hope they like it when they get to read it.
  • Tomorrow’s goal: Keep working on this scene and hopefully finish it.

I’m pretty happy with my progress this week. Even with having a New Year’s Eve party at our place I managed to get a good bit of work done.

My goal for next week is to set a new standard for a normal week. I want 2016 to be a great year for writing. The only way to make that happen is to write and then write some more. I’m going to make it happen.
