February 22
- Project: The Dreams
- Total word count: 94,026
- Today’s word count: 209
- Thoughts: I wish I wrote more, but it just wasn’t in the cards.
- Tomorrow’s goal: Back to editing. I’m hoping to write for a while too, but that will depend on time.
February 23
- Project: The Deams
- Total word count: 93,976
- Today’s word count; -50
- Thoughts: I expected to be cutting a lot more from this chapter than I have so far. I can’t decide if that’s a good thing or a bad thing.
- Tomorrow’s goal: Continue editing.
February 24
- Project: The Dreams
- Total word count: 93,810
- Today’s word count: -166
- Thoughts: Editing this chapter is proving to be a long process, but it’s not a painful one.
- Tomorrow’s goal: More editing. Trying not to let it get to me.
February 25
- Project: The Dreams
- Total word count: 93,666
- Today’s word count: -144
- Thoughts: I imagined cutting a lot more words from this chapter than I have so far. It’s still very long, but most of what is written needs to be said.
- Tomorrow’s goal: Even more editing. I seem to reach a point every night when I can’t look over even one more line, and unfortunately I haven’t reached the last line of this chapter just yet.
February 26
- Project: The Dreams
- Total word count: 92,776
- Today’s word count: -890
- Thoughts: I spent a long time today cutting words from a monster of a scene written back during NaNoWriMo. I’m almost positive I wrote this during my many, many sprints over the final weekend of that month.
- Tomorrow’s goal: Get this chapter posted!
February 27 & 28
No writing progress made. Family emergency.
Everything is on its way back to normal now so I will try to get some posts up, but I’m not holding myself to any sort of schedule just yet. Hopefully I will be back on track with my posts by the weekend.
It’s so hard to track editing goals! I never know what to write on my calendar, myself.

The best I’ve come up with is just continuing to track my daily and project word counts. It’s not particularly encouraging while editing, but I do it for consistency’s sake.
