CampNaNoWriMo Week 3 Recap

CNW_Participant

This week has tried to kick my butt.

At this point I’m trying to keep up my habit of writing every day, even if some of the days I only write a line or two. Even so my goal of finishing the first draft of The Dreams this month is seeming less and less likely.

I’m starting to think that CampNaNoWriMo is just curse for me. I can win NaNoWriMo at least 50% of the time, but I haven’t won CampNaNoWriMo even once.

That means I’m even more determined not to give up! Even if I can’t win this time I can at least try to get closer to my goal this time than I have before.

There are so many great scenes I’m looking forward to writing. As long as I keep going I can write all of them this month. Reaching 50,000 words this month would be great, but I would much rather just get all of my ideas out of my head once and for all.

As of right now I have 40,626 words to write in nine days to finish on time. That’s just over 4,000 per day. My current average for the month is 446 words per day. I really need to pull that average because CampNaNoWriMo says I’m going to finish on July 22 at this rate. Every time I update my word count that date will get closer and closer to April 30.

How’s your writing going? Are you head or behind on your word count? Have you won already? Let me know!
