CampNaNoWriMo Week 2 Recap

CNW_Participant

Let’s start off this recap by saying that I’m still behind. Really, really behind. About 14,000 words behind.

With that statement out of the way I can get on with all of the awesome that has happened. I’ve written every day so far this month! In the past week I’ve had two days over 1,000 words. My goal this month might be 1,613 words per day, but my personal goal every other month is 500 words a day, so more than double my usual target is fantastic.

I doubt I’ll be winning this month. I’ve managed to win from far, far behind before, but my track record with CampNaNoWriMo makes me think it isn’t likely to happen.

Don’t think that means I’m giving up! I’m writing so much these days and I don’t want that to stop. Anything could happen between now and the end of the month. There’s still half a month to go.

It doesn’t feel like we’re halfway through the month. The days are really flying by. Usually when things feel like a whirlwind I end up missing days of writing. Somehow I’m keeping on top of that this month. Maybe I’m getting better trained and writing is becoming like second nature. Ha! I wish!

I know I’m getting closer and closer to the end of The Dreams. If I jump up and down I can catch glimpses of the end. That is exciting enough to keep me motivated. Some days it still feels like I’m running in place, but if I take a step back I can see the progress that has been made this month.

How’s your CampNaNoWriMo? Are you ahead? Behind? Just getting started?

Can you believe there are only two weeks left?
