Writing Progress July 25 – 31, 2016

DailyWritingProgress

July 25

  • Project: The Dreams
  • Total word count: 143,147
  • Today’s word count: 130
  • Thoughts: Not a good writing day at all. I was hot and miserable all day and by the time thing cooled off I was too worn out to want to bother with writing.
  • Tomorrow’s goal: Keep cool. Write. Repeat.

July 26

  • Project: The Dreams
  • Total word count: 143,692
  • Today’s word count: 545
  • Thought: Better. Not great, but better. I started thinking about a side story to The Dreams I might write some day.
  • Tomorrow’s goal: Revision. Writing. Typical Wednesday stuff.

July 27

  • Project: The Dreams
  • Total word count: 144,440
  • Today’s word count: 748
  • Thoughts: Best day of the week so far! Awesome!
  • Tomorrow’s goal: Finish revisions. Post teaser for patrons. Write lots.

July 28

  • Project: The Dreams
  • Total word count: 144,688
  • Today’s word count: 248
  • Thoughts: I finished all of my revisions for this week! I didn’t write very much though. I’m a bit disappointed in that.
  • Tomorrow’s goal: More writing. Hopefully a lot more writing.

July 29

  • Project: The Dreams
  • Total word count: 144,741
  • Today’s word count: 53
  • Thoughts: I didn’t feel well today and it ruined my word count.
  • Tomorrow’s goal: Write in, hopefully. Lots and lots of words. Oh! And post the new chapter!

July 30

  • Project: The Dreams
  • Total word count: 145,395
  • Today’s word count: 654
  • Thoughts: Yay! 145,000 words! The write in was so much fun! I didn’t get a ton of writing done, but it was great to hang out and talk with other writers. Oh! I also posted the newest chapter of The Dreams. Good times.
  • Tomorrow’s goal: Write! It’s the last day of Camp so I have to write.

July 31

  • Project: The Dreams
  • Total word count: 145,653
  • Today’s word count: 258
  • Thoughts: Not a great word count for the last day of CampNaNoWriMo, but I did still write. I think I might have pushed myself harder if I thought there was any chance of winning, but there were just too many words between me and the finish line so I stuck around and slogged through a difficult scene.
  • Tomorrow’s goal: Wow. No Camp… I’ll still be writing. I’ve told myself my next break will happen when I finish this draft of The Dreams. I need to keep writing every day until then.
