I love these new banners and icons!
For now my preparation is still limited to training myself to write lots and lots of words on a daily basis. That’s been going pretty well so far. I’m writing more than 1,000 words most days. I just need to keep up my momentum and try to produce even more words on a daily basis before NaNoWriMo starts.
Things are starting to change. Today is the first day of autumn. Every day from here on out it will feel more and more like NaNoWriMo season.
Soon I’ll really need to buckle down on creating an outline for this year’s novel, but for now I’m still comfortable telling myself I’ll take care of that in October. There’s still more than a week left in September so I can trick myself into thinking I have plenty of time before I need to get started.
I’m trying not to think about it too much. Looking at the future too much distracts me from getting my work done in the present.
How are your preparations for NaNoWriMo going? Do you have an idea? Do you have an outline ready to go? Let me know in the comments!
The new banners are so awesome! I love the font especially. Writing 1000 words a day is excellent. You’ll be in good shape for NaNoWriMo.
I started preparing for NaNoWriMo this week. I’m still going to be writing part 2 of my current novel and I’m getting a little closer to that point. I’ve spent all week doing a little more world building. Now I need to outline the rest of the novel a little more and I should be good to go. But, college starts next week as does my job at the college newspaper as co-editor-in-chief, so maybe I won’t have any time.
Good luck on your daily writing!

I love the new banners too! I have no idea if I’m going to be participating in NaNo this November because I’ll have just moved out for the first time and have started my University course. I’m really hoping I can make some time to join in though, even if I don’t manage to win this year. Good luck! You seemed to have been doing so well in your writing. I’m sure you’ll keep up the momentum for November 🙂

I did NaNoWriMo every year I was in University. I lost most of those years, but I still had a blast trying.
