September 20

• Thoughts: Today I didn’t let myself get hung up on my lack of writing during the day. I’ve been writing best at night so I let myself wait until nighttime and didn’t feel guilty about tackling other things during the day.
• Tomorrow’s goal: More of the writing stuff. Maybe a bit of the revision stuff too.

September 21

• Thoughts: Migraines are the worst thing in the world. I don’t know how I managed to write at all. I’ve been pretty miserable all day.
• Tomorrow’s goal: Revisions. More writing. No more migraine, please.

September 22

• Today’s word count: -651
• Thoughts: I spent all day revising one scene. I cut all those words from one scene. I can’t tell if I did a lot of work or not. My perception is skewed by measuring my revision success in terms of scenes completed.
• Tomorrow’s goal: Finish revising this week’s chapter. Get the teaser posted for my patrons.

September 23

• Today’s word count: -391
• Thoughts: I’m still not finished revising this chapter. Part of the problem is that I overwrote the entire thing so I’m cutting a lot of words. The other part of the problem is the migraine that just won’t go away.
• Tomorrow’s goal: Continue revising in hopes of getting the chapter posted before the day is out.

September 24

Usually on days I don’t move my word count up or down I just say “no writing progress made” but I did make progress today. I’m still revising. This chapter needed a lot of TLC, I wasn’t feeling well recently, and I stressed myself out way too much trying to get the chapter out on time. It’s late now. I’m still stressed, but now I’m more determined than anything. There still more revising to do and I’m going to do it.

September 25

• Today’s word count: -425
• Thoughts: I feel like I spent forever revising this chapter, but it is finally posted. I haven’t felt this relieved to get a chapter out in a long time. I ended up cutting 1,467 words from the chapter. I had to comb over the whole thing multiple times to make sure I didn’t ruin it by working on it while not at my best. I hope I made it into something resembling a coherent chapter.
• Tomorrow’s goal: Back to writing!

Now for something not related to writing that still makes me happy. Saturday night I found an adorable calico fantail goldfish. I couldn’t resist bringing him/her home.

This little guy doesn’t have a name yet. I’m thinking I want to go with a literary reference, but I haven’t settled on anything. Do you have any ideas for a name?
