• Thoughts: Today was a not a good day for writing. I just couldn’t focus. There’s a lot going on in my head right now and I don’t know how to organize it so I can let the words get through.
• Tomorrow’s goal: Focus on writing again. I’m sure everything will work out if I can get the words moving.

April 17

• Project: Inbetween

• Today’s word count: 125

• Project: The Dreams character study/fluff

• Thoughts: Well, I decided to sit down and just let myself write whatever I wanted about Yuzuki and Souma to help me get back in the right mindset for working on The Dreams. I never expected to write so much. I guess I just had a little story to tell and it insisted on arriving all at once. At this point, I’m not sure I’ll ever share what I wrote. It seems silly and a little embarrassing. We’ll see. I might feel differently later.
• Tomorrow’s goal: I’m going to a concert with my boyfriend and best friend so I’ll be gone for most of my prime writing time. I’ll try to write before and after, but I’m not counting on much.

April 18

• Project: Inbetween
• Total word count: 162,897
• Today’s word count: 107
• Thoughts: Today turned out almost exactly like I expected. I managed to write a little bit, went to the concert, came home, and then I didn’t sleep but I couldn’t focus on writing either.
• Tomorrow’s goal: Back to writing. I need to revise as well. I hope I’ll have the energy to get stuff done!

April 19

• Project: Inbetween

• Today’s word count: 67
• Thoughts: Today was not a productive day for writing. I only had a bit of energy and I couldn’t stop myself from daydreaming long enough to put that energy to good use.
• Tomorrow’s goal: Put my focus back on writing, tackle some revising, and don’t let another day get away from me.

April 20

• Project: Inbetween

• Today’s word count: 351
• Thoughts: This was a good writing day for a Friday! This was a good Friday in general!
• Tomorrow’s goal: More writing. More revising. I want to get a chapter posted. I’m shooting for the stars!

April 21

• Project: Inbetween
• Total word count: 163,507
• Today’s word count: 192
• Thoughts: Today did not turn out like I expect at all. I was distracted or busy for much of the day. I wanted to write. I tried to write. I ended up spending more time outside than I expected. I had a great time, but it didn’t allow me to settle down and focus on my work. I can’t even explain spring weather this weekend. It was windy and chilly today.
• Tomorrow’s goal: Write! Revise! Get a chapter posted before it gets any later than it already is! It’ll be Sunday. I know I can make things happen on Sunday.

April 22

• Project: Inbetween
• Total word count: 163,771
• Today’s word count: 264
• Thoughts: Today was a pretty productive day, even if my word count doesn’t really reflect that. I got a chapter posted (only a day behind schedule!) and I wrote a bit too. I wish I did more, of course, but I’m proud of what I accomplished today.
• Tomorrow’s goal: Back to writing! I hope I can buckle down and concentrate on making lots of new words even though it is Monday.
