June 11

No progress made. I got a chapter posted (finally) and that was about it. My mind was just not in a writerly place and I decided not to push it. I’ll just try to be happy with getting a chapter posted.

June 12

• Project: Inbetween
• Total word count: 176,127
• Today’s word count: 373
• Thoughts: I made actual progress! It felt great! This is the sort of day I’ve been waiting for all month. I just needed to get started again. Now that I have I’ll have to keep the ball rolling.
• Tomorrow’s goal: More writing. I might revise too. I have more of the new draft of The Dreams to share once I get it polished up a bit.

June 13

• Project: Inbetween
• Total word count: 176,273
• Today’s word count: 146
• Thoughts: Today wasn’t as productive as I wanted it to be. I had high hopes and I can’t believe how little I managed to accomplish.
• Tomorrow’s goal: More writing. Revising. I want to do it all and maybe I’ll actually be able to manage it.

June 14

• Project: Inbetween
• Total word count: 176,430
• Today’s word count: 157
• Thoughts: Today was weird. I struggled. I don’t really know why, either. It was just a hard day in general. I tried to write and just kept getting distracted. I don’t want to be distracted!
• Tomorrow’s goal: More writing. Hopefully some revising. I’m going to keep trying no matter what.

June 15

• Project: Inbetween
• Total word count: 176,464
• Today’s word count: 34
• Thoughts; Today was a Friday. It definitely felt like a Friday. I didn’t get much writing done. I couldn’t. Everything else in my life was demanding my attention.
• Tomorrow’s goal: Try to write. I have another demanding day ahead of me so I’m not going to put too much pressure on myself.

June 16

No progress made. I had a busy day away from my keyboard and was too excited to sleep much before my big day of fun. I went out to yard sales in the morning, took a nap to recover in the afternoon, and spent time with family in the evening. I was exhausted after that and went to bed early.

June 17

No progress made again. I had another early start today and what little energy I had left after a morning of picking strawberries was sapped by the oppressive heat. I tried to keep cool and ended up going to bed early instead of writing late at night when I get most of my work done.

Tomorrow is supposed to be even hotter, but I’m hoping to get some writing done anyway.
