August 13

• Project: Inbetween

• Today’s word count: 504
• Thoughts: Today was a really productive day! I posted a new chapter and wrote too. I can’t believe how big of a turn around today was compared to recent days.
• Tomorrow’s goal: More writing. I’m pretty sure I can do it. Starting the third part of Inbetween is finally having the liberating effect I’d hoped it would.

August 14

• Project: Inbetween
• Total word count: 187,008
• Today’s word count: 589
• Thoughts: Today was pretty great! I wrote about 400 words in 15 minutes or so. I’m not sure about the quality of those words, but I’m sure I can fix it with some revision.
• Tomorrow’s goal: More writing. I’m feeling pretty motivated these days.

August 15

• Project: Inbetween

• Today’s word count: 255
• Thoughts: The oppressive heat came back today and it destroyed my will to write until quite late at night. I tried. My mind just wandered. Actually, wandering doesn’t quite describe the experience. My mind leapt from one notion to another and was never satisfied or settled onto a task. I wasted hours this way.
• Tomorrow’s goal: Beat the heat. Write no matter what.

August 16

• Project: Inbetween
• Total word count: 187,628
• Today’s word count: 365
• Thoughts: Today was an odd day. I did manage to write so I guess it wasn’t so bad.
• Tomorrow’s goal: More writing. Maybe some revising. I’m not sure how much I’ll accomplish since it will be Friday.

August 17

• Project: Inbetween
• Total word count: 187,686
• Today’s word count: 58
• Thoughts: Today was very much a typical Friday for me. Friday are always tough. I’m busy. My boyfriend is around and I prioritize spending time with him on his night’s off. I’m still learning to accept that this is a normal pattern in my week and I don’t need to fight it.
• Tomorrow’s goal: More writing. Hopefully some revising. I don’t want to skip Saturday this week. There’s no reason I can’t write tomorrow.

August 18

I ended up being much more busy than I expected yesterday. I wasn’t even home for a significant part of the day. No writing progress made, but plenty of recharging happened.

August 19

• Project: Inbetween
• Total word count: 187,836
• Today’s word count: 150
• Thoughts: Progress! I wrote a bit. I revised a lot. I’m quite happy with what I accomplished. A new chapter should be just around the corner!
• Tomorrow’s goal: More writing. I’m feeling pretty motivated. Let’s see what I do with that motivation.
