• Thoughts: Today was a strange day. I wrote, but I don’t really remember writing. I just sat down and the words seemed to appear. I’m not sure if I like it when this sort of thing happens.
• Tomorrow’s goal: Write. Post a chapter. I think I can handle goals like this.

August 28

• Project: Inbetween
• Total word count: 189,815
• Today’s word count: 18
• Thoughts: Today was terrible. I had a migraine. I struggled. I barely managed to get a new chapter posted. I did it, but it was a struggle.
• Tomorrow’s goal: Recover from the migraine. Write enough words to make up for today being terrible.

August 29

• Project: Inbetween
• Total word count: 190,327
• Today’s word count: 512
• Thoughts: I’m making progress! It was hot again today but I managed to sit down and write once the sun went down. The apartment was still almost intolerably hot, but I made it work because I needed to write.
• Tomorrow’s goal: More writing. I think it is supposed to be slightly cooler so I’m hoping I’ll be in a better place to write even more. We’ll see what happens.

August 30

• Project: Inbetween
• Total word count: 190,476
• Today’s word count: 149
• Thoughts: Focusing on writing was hard today. My mind was much more interested in daydreaming so a lot of my writing time was spent just thinking. It’s not such a bad thing to have happen, but it doesn’t really get me anywhere with my serial novel.
• Tomorrow’s goal: Well, it’ll be Friday so I’m just hoping I’ll write something.

August 31

• Project: Inbetween
• Total word count: 190,567
• Today’s word count: 91
• Thoughts: I wrote! That’s always an accomplishment on a Friday. I wish I’d written more, but that’s always the case.
• Tomorrow’s goal: More writing. I think I’ll be able to do it.

September 1

• Project: Inbetween
• Total word count: 190,713
• Today’s word count: 146
• Thoughts: Today wasn’t too bad, but it wasn’t great either. It all came down to being busy and distracted most of the day. If I’d been home by myself all evening I think my word count would have been a little better, but that’s not how the weekends usually go.
• Tomorrow’s goal: I’m going to be very busy, but I’m still hopeful that I’ll be able to find a few minutes to write.

September 2

• Project: Inbetween
• Total word count: 190,843
• Today’s word count: 130
• Thoughts: I said I was going to be busy and I was right. I barely had any time to think about writing most of the day. When I finally had a chance to sit down and try to write something my mind was already turning to mush for the night. I managed a few words, but I need sleep more than I need to write right now.
• Tomorrow’s goal: Spend a day with words. I’ve been so busy lately and I’m looking forward to spending time quietly and working on my writing.
