• Thoughts: Today was hard. It’s still so hot and I was completely exhausted from everything I did on Sunday. I wanted to write, but I did not have the energy to put behind that wish.
• Tomorrow’s goal: More writing. Hopefully so much more writing.

September 4

• Project: Inbetween
• Total word count: 191,063
• Today’s word count: 43
• Thoughts: Today was difficult. I woke up with a migraine and struggled to get anything done at all. Somehow I still managed to get a chapter posted.
• Tomorrow’s goal: Feel better. Write more. I hope it all works out.

September 5

• Project: Inbetween

• Today’s word count: 76

• Thoughts: I felt absolutely terrible today. I thought I wouldn’t get anything done all day, but then I gave myself permission to write something completely nonsensical that no one else will ever need to see. It worked and in a way made me feel a little bit better.
• Tomorrow’s goal: More writing. Hopefully I’ll feel up to working on something a bit more substantial, but if I don’t, I have plenty of other silly, fluffy ideas I can work on to keep myself writing something.

September 6

• Project: Short story about pockets
• Total word count: 820
• Thoughts: I wrote a whole draft of a short story today! It was inspired by a goofy conversation on a NaNoWriMo discord server. I felt inspired so I followed that inspiration. The end result isn’t perfect, but no rough draft is!
• Tomorrow’s goal: Back to Inbetween, I think. It’ll be Friday so we’ll see what sort of results I get for my determination.

September 7

• Project: Inbetween
• Total word count: 191,251
• Today’s word count: 112
• Thoughts: Well, it was definitely a Friday. I tried to write. I managed to write a little bit. It’s the most ordinary thing in the world for me on a Friday now. I wish I could write more, but the disrupted nature of everything I  need to do on Friday just takes me out of my stories.
• Tomorrow’s goal: More writing. I’m hoping for a quiet day at home so I can get work done.

September 8

• Project: Inbetween
• Total word count: 191,683
• Today’s word count: 432
• Thoughts: Today wasn’t a bad day for writing. It took me a while to get started, but once I did I got out a decent number of words. No complaints.
• Tomorrow’s goal: More writing! I’m pretty sure I can make it happen.

September 9

• Project: Inbetween
• Total word count: 191,769
• Today’s word count: 86
• Thoughts: Today was a struggle. I don’t really know why. I think I spent too much time making and drinking tea. The weather took a sharp turn toward fall and I was enjoying the change and the opportunity to warm up instead of cool down.
• Tomorrow’s goal: More of the writing stuff. Maybe some revising. It’ll depend on how focused I can be.
