• Thoughts: Well, I wrote. It wasn’t a great day of writing, but I managed to write. It’s progress.
• Tomorrow’s goal: Writing. Revising. I need to do a little bit of everything!

December 18

• Project: Inbetween

• Today’s word count: 358
• Thoughts: I feel like I’m finally getting back on track. I wrote. I revised. I posted a new chapter. Overall, this felt like a really productive day.
• Tomorrow’s goal: More writing. I hope I can get a lot accomplished.

December 19

• Project: Inbetween

• Today’s word count: 215
• Thoughts: Ugh. I wanted to write, but it was a struggle today. I’m not sure what exactly is holding me back. I know I’m having trouble focusing and it’s easy for me to get off task, but there is usually a reason for it. Figuring out what is causing me to be so easily distracted needs to be a priority.
• Tomorrow’s goal: More writing, I hope. It should be possible, but it might not be easy.

December 20

• Project: Inbetween

• Today’s word count: 215
• Thoughts: Today was okay, I guess. I wrote. That’s something. It just doesn’t feel like enough.
• Tomorrow’s goal: It’ll be Friday so I’ll try to keep my expectations low. I just hope I can write something. Maybe I’ll be pleasantly surprised.

December 21 – 23

No writing progress made. I worked on some light revisions (and posted a scene from The Dreams) and spent time with friends and family for the holidays.

I’ve been trying hard to take more breaks this month. I’ve noticed December is full of burn out most years and I really want to change that this year. I’m hoping that I won’t have to spend the majority of the winter trying to bounce back from feeling burned out after NaNoWriMo and during the holidays.
