• Thoughts: I’m impressed with how productive I was today, considering it was a holiday and we actually hosted a small party in our apartment. I even managed to post a new chapter before the party started!
• Tomorrow’s goal: More writing, I hope. It’s a brand new year. The possibilities are endless!

January 1

No writing progress made. I was tired and wanted to take a day to relax and unwind.

January 2

• Project: Inbetween

• Today’s word count: 185
• Thoughts: I’m getting back in the swing of things, I think. I had a hard time getting my creative energy to have a direction today, but I finally settled on working on a scene and made a bit of progress.
• Tomorrow’s goal: More writing. I know I can do it. If I sit down and focus anything is possible.

January 3

• Project: Inbetween

• Today’s word count: 200
• Thoughts: Today was okay. It wasn’t a spectacular day of writing, but I did write and I think I can be okay with that.
• Tomorrow’s goal: Oh boy. It’ll be Friday again. There’s one every week and I never seem to get much done. Hopefully tomorrow will be an exceptional Friday.

January 4

• Project: Inbetween

• Today’s word count: 106
• Thoughts: It was a pretty typical Friday, I guess. I don’t feel too bad about it since I had a lot of fun.
• Tomorrow’s goal: More writing, I hope. I should have time to do it.

January 5

• Project: Inbetween

• Today’s word count: 66
• Thoughts: Today was not what I expected. Today was exhausting, but in a good way. I feel like I got a lot of non-writing things accomplished and that was a relief. It’s just a shame I couldn’t muster the energy and motivation to get a good amount of writing done too.
• Tomorrow’s goal: Refocus on writing. I’m confident I can do it. My boyfriend’s work schedule is returning to “normal” for the first time in almost a year this week so I’m hoping I can somehow get back to normal as well.

January 6

• Project: Inbetween
• Total word count: 208,567
• Today’s word count: 1,015
• Thoughts: Today was productive, but I found myself wishing I was even more productive. Isn’t that always the case? It’s never enough to just get things done.
• Tomorrow’s goal: More writing. Maybe some revising. We’ll see what happens!
