• Thoughts: Today felt really productive. I revised and posted a new scene of The Dreams to my Patreon. Then I finished writing a chapter of Inbetween. A day always feels a little bit better when I wrap up multiple things.
• Tomorrow’s goal: More writing. I hope to start revising the next chapter of Inbetween as well. I have an obligation to get those chapters up early for patrons now, after all.

January 29

• Project: The Dreams

• Today’s word count: 287
• Thoughts: I couldn’t focus today. It took a long, long time to get the next chapter of Inbetween revised and posted on Patreon. No matter what I did, my mind wandered and the rest of me followed. It wasn’t even possible to attempt to sit and wait for the words to come to me. I was too restless!
• Tomorrow’s goal: More writing. I can’t have two days in a row feeling lost and restless. If things don’t look like they’re going well again, I might be forced to take drastic measures.

January 30

• Project: The Dreams

• Today’s word count: 498
• Thoughts: Getting myself writing today was a chore. Eventually I did start writing and I think the words I wrote turned out pretty well.
• Tomorrow’s goal: More writing. I need to figure out why I’m having trouble with focus lately. Hopefully I can get that sorted out before the weekend so I can be productive then too.

January 31

• Project: Inbetween

• Today’s word count: 662
• Thoughts: Today was a reasonably productive day. I think I made some real progress with Inbetween. I’m looking forward to writing more tomorrow!
• Tomorrow’s goal: Oh, Friday. I’m not sure how much progress I’ll make, but I’m going to give it my best effort!

February 1

• Project: Inbetween

• Today’s word count: 81
• Thoughts: Today was such a typical Friday in terms of distracting me from my writing. Overall, it was a good day and I think it helped refresh me for upcoming days of writing.
• Tomorrow’s goal: More writing! I’m confident I can get a lot done this weekend.

February 2

No writing progress made.

Today was a bit of a disaster. The power supply for my desktop PC died. Fortunately, I have backups of all my work so I can continue to write full time on my laptop until the desktop is brought back to life.

That did not save me from being completely distracted from writing today. Once a problem like power supply failure appears in my life I can’t rest until I have a solution.

February 3

• Project: Inbetween
• Total word count: 217,295
• Today’s word count: 240
• Thoughts: Today was better than yesterday, but not great. I’m still working on my laptop exclusively while I wait for parts to arrive for my desktop. Usually, writing on my laptop happens when I’m feeling motivated and focused. Spending all day on this little machine is a vastly different experience.
• Tomorrow’s goal: More writing, hopefully. I know I can produce a ton of words on this laptop. I just need to get into the right mindset.
