• Thoughts: I’m slowly making progress. I wish it wasn’t quite so slow, but it’s happening so I shouldn’t really complain.
• Tomorrow’s goal: More writing. Hopefully I can get a chapter posted too!

February 19

• Project: Inbetween
• Total word count: 220,162
• Today’s word count: 219
• Thoughts: I told myself I needed to write more today than I did yesterday and I didn’t let myself stop until I did. Granted, I stopped just after passing yesterday’s word count, but I was really struggling to stay focused so I didn’t want to push my luck. Have you ever set yourself a really low goal post and just barely passed it?
• Tomorrow’s goal: If I can beat today’s word count I’ll be satisfied. Even if it is only by one word again, at least I’ll be making progress. At this point I just want to get the chapter done!

February 20

• Project: Inbetween
• Total word count: 220,392
• Today’s word count: 230
• Thoughts: The chapter still isn’t done. I’m making progress, but it’s happening slowly. At least I wrote more than I did yesterday. That was the minimum goal I set. If I’m going to be honest, I almost didn’t write enough. I had to push myself to write enough right before bedtime. My word count would have been pitiful if I hadn’t made that final push for words.
• Tomorrow’s goal: More writing. Hopefully I will actually finish this chapter today. I’m not holding my breath at this point. This chapter doesn’t want to end and I can’t seem to find enough energy to really push it to its conclusion in a timely manner.

February 21

• Project: Inbetween
• Total word count: 220,558
• Today’s word count: 166
• Thoughts: Today’s word count isn’t higher than yesterday’s. I failed that goal. However, I did succeed in getting the chapter finished! The relief I felt over completing it was enormous. I hope I can pick up the pace now that I’ve moved on from this chapter.
• Tomorrow’s goal: More writing! I’m hoping to be inspired and motivated to write more words. Maybe I’ll even revise this latest chapter, if I feel up to it.

February 22

• Project: Inbetween
• Total word count: 220,561
• Today’s word count: 3
• Thoughts: Oh Friday. I’m never very productive on Fridays, but today I managed to revise a chapter and get it posted for my lovely patrons.
• Tomorrow’s goal: Saturday! Saturdays can be very productive or not productive at all. I hope tomorrow will be a productive Saturday.

February 23

• Project: Inbetween
• Total word count: 220,578
• Today’s word count: 17
• Thoughts: Writing today was a struggle. I think it was actually harder to focus on my work than it had been on Friday. I wanted to do anything but write for the majority of the day and for a while I had a perfectly good excuse since I was having dinner at my mom’s. After I came back home I still lacked motivation. It’s frustrating to know there is work to be done but lacking the will to put any effort into the work.
• Tomorrow’s goal: Get back to writing. It’s been a real struggle ever since my last migraine . No matter what I do I seem to work on anything but my writing. It’s incredibly discouraging and I need to change it.

February 24

I didn’t write. I planned. I outlined a bit, but what I really needed was a break. I don’t know what has been stopping me from writing lately. Hopefully this break recharged my batteries and I can get back my writing tomorrow.
