July 15

• Project: Inbetween
• Total word count: 239,698
• Today’s word count: 434
• Thoughts: I felt pretty productive today. Unfortunately, I only worked on Inbetween. I still want to get back to planning my next serial, but I don’t know how to fit both projects into one day. Once I get into writing Inbetween, I tend to keep going until I run out of steam. Then I’m out for the day.
• Tomorrow’s goal: More writing. I might even wrap up a chapter. We’ll see. Hopefully I’ll also find the time and energy to work on my next serial as well. It needs some attention and I can’t keep putting it off.

July 16

• Project: Inbetween
• Total word count: 240,055
• Today’s word count: 357
• Thoughts: This week is turning out to be reasonably productive word count-wise. I finished writing a chapter today. Still no progress on planning my next serial. I could feel myself getting close to wrapping up a chapter and I focused on my attention on getting that done. It worked. I can’t complain.
• Tomorrow’s goal: I feel like a world of options is available to me. I can start the next chapter. I could turn my attention to revising. I could focus on planning. The only thing I know I’m not going to do is take a day off. I feel too motivated.

July 17

• Project: Inbetween
• Total word count: 240,129
• Today’s word count: 74
• Thoughts: I was so productive today. I got up early to pick green beans because this heat wave won’t allow it to be done too long after the sun rises. Then I came home and revised a chapter. It’s up on Patreon now. After that, I spent two hours working on character sketches for my next serial. Later, I went back to writing Inbetween. I didn’t write a ton, but I did make progress. Such an awesome day!
• Tomorrow’s goal: More writing. Hopefully more planning too. There’s a lot to do and I don’t want to risk losing this excess of writing energy.

July 18

• Project: Inbetween
• Total word count: 240,318
• Today’s word count: 189
• Thoughts: I wrote. I ended the day with more words than yesterday, but I didn’t feel as productive as yesterday. All I managed to do was write for a while. I didn’t plan my any part of my next serial. I didn’t revised anything. It was slightly discouraging.
• Tomorrow’s goal: It’ll be Friday. Would it be too much to hope for a productive day? I just want to write! We’re in the midst of a huge heatwave so I’m going to be stuck in the only cool rooms in the apartment. Hopefully being stuck there will force me to write a lot of words.

July 19

• Project: Inbetween
• Total word count: 240,355
• Today’s word count: 37
• Thoughts: It was Friday. Things didn’t go as planned. That’s pretty standard stuff for a Friday. The heatwave didn’t help things at all. Trying to hide from the heat just gave me cabin fever. I want to go outside, but at the same time, I don’t want to melt!
• Tomorrow’s goal: Stay cool. Hopefully write. Hopefully find a way to counteract the cabin fever that isn’t going to go away if I don’t do something.

July 20

• Project: Inbetween
• Total word count: 240,373
• Today’s word count: 18
• Thoughts: Ugh. Today was so hot and I was absolutely miserable. I had plenty of time to write, but all I wanted to do was sit perfectly still and try to cool off. Even making the effort to type was difficult. Thinking was pretty much out of the question.
• Tomorrow’s goal: Well, the heatwave is going to continue. All I can do is try to write. I’m not counting on it going well. I think I know my limits at this point.

July 21

• Project: Inbetween
• Total word count: 240,415
• Today’s word count: 42
• Thoughts: Well, today was the most productive day of the weekend. That isn’t saying much, but I managed to write a few sentences today. The heat wave is really draining my ability to do much of anything. Even when I stay inside where I’m cool, I’m still not comfortable and able to concentrate.
• Tomorrow’s goal: More writing. I think the weather is supposed to be slightly cooler so I’m hoping I’ll be more productive.
