August 12

• Project: Inbetween
• Total word count: 242,744
• Today’s word count: 230
• Thoughts: I wrote! I feel like I’m making progress again. Now I need to keep making progress every single day. Inbetween is getting so close to the end and I’m getting more and more impatient to get there. If I just wrote faster it would happen sooner.
• Tomorrow’s goal: More writing. I’m going to post a chapter of Inbetween here on the blog as well. It’s been waiting around for a few days now and I just need to get myself organized and finally post it for everyone to read. Of course, my patrons haven’t had to wait, but they’re probably already wondering when the next chapter is coming.

August 13

• Project: Inbetween
• Total word count: 242,802
• Today’s word count: 58
• Thoughts: Today was an okay day. My word count wasn’t particularly high, but I did manage to post a new chapter, which is always exciting. Every time I post a new chapter reaching the end of this story becomes more real for me. It’s going to happen. I can’t wait!
• Tomorrow’s goal: Back to writing. I might be getting close to the end, but I still have a lot of words to write before I get there. I have to imagine this story really will surpass 250k now. It’s a beast.

August 14

• Project: Inbetween
• Total word count: 243,504
• Today’s word count: 702
• Thoughts: Wow. I didn’t expect to write this much in one day. It hasn’t happened in a long time. Hopefully this means I’ll be more productive on a day-to-day basis again. I’d hate to think this was a one day spike in productivity.
• Tomorrow’s goal: More writing. I know I can do it. After all the words I wrote today, how can I not try to at least match it tomorrow? I’m so close to finishing this story and I need to use that to boost my daily word count.

August 15

• Project: Inbetween
• Total word count: 244,405
• Today’s word count: 901
• Thoughts: Another productive day! I don’t know how I did it, honestly. I hoped it would happen, but I have no confidence in my ability to keep writing a respectable amount of words. I even managed to write more words than yesterday and I finished a chapter. That was probably the best part of the day.
• Tomorrow’s goal: It’ll be Friday so I’m not sure I can meet or exceed today’s word count. I’m going to try to work on my writing though. Even if I don’t keep up the momentum, I’ll at least make progress.

August 16

• Project: Inbetween
• Total word count: 244,408
• Today’s word count: 3
• Thoughts: Wow. This was the most Friday of Fridays. However, I did manage to revise an entire chapter in the afternoon. It resulted in three whole words more than I had when I started the day. No more writing happened. Oops?
• Tomorrow’s goal: I have another busy day that’s going to take me away from my keyboard. I’m going to enjoy that time and hopefully come back ready and able to drag this massive story closer to the finish line.

August 17

• Project: Inbetween
• Total word count: 244,423
• Today’s word count: 15
• Thoughts: More words than yesterday, but I feel like I accomplished less. I was hardly home and by the time I was home I was pretty worn out. I tried to write. You can see that from the couple words I managed that I was only slightly successful.
• Tomorrow’s goal: I’m going to be home all day. This is what I’ve needed. I simply cannot be productive the way I want to be if I’ve been out and socializing that day. It’s too draining.

August 18

• Project: Inbetween
• Total word count: 244,555
• Today’s word count: 132
• Thoughts: Not great, but better. I wanted to have another fantastic writing day since I was home all day, but it didn’t happen. I think I over did it on Friday and Saturday because I had a migraine not too long after I woke up and I couldn’t shake it all day. It definitely hurt my productivity.
• Tomorrow’s goal: Hopefully the migraine will go away after a  good night’s sleep. Then I’ll be able to write as much as possible while factoring in the obnoxiously hot weather. It’s always hard to write in the heat. Hopefully I can find a cool place to hide so it doesn’t mess me up too much.
