What I Read in November

November is for NaNoWriMo so I never know what to expect from my reading habits. This month I actually managed to read a bit.

Books I finished reading in November:

Books I’m currently reading:

I’m still savoring my reread of The Fellowship of the Ring. I adore Tolkien. This time I find myself getting stuck rereading the songs and poems. I want to be able to do that! My poetry skills aren’t good enough yet. It’s something I’ll have to work on if I want to try to include poetry in my writing.

What books have you read recently? I’d love to know!

  1. I read “I Am The Messenger” by Markus Zusak. I actually read a little bit of it when I was at the bookstore and the characters and the voice totally caught me up and hooked me. I was like “I’m buying you next time I come here.” And so I did.

I really enjoyed it, but halfway through I was wondering how the author was going to wrap it all up. *sigh* He did it in the most “Huh???!” way possible. I’m not going to say more about it in case you want to read it. All I will say is that was not the ending I was expecting. (to put it very mildly 😆 )

    • I love getting hooked by a good beginning at the bookstore or library. It’s probably the biggest part of the experience missing from ebooks.

Thinking about it is almost enough to motivate me to hike up to the library this week. I might do it, if the weather cooperates.
