What I Read in August

I’m in a bit of a reading slump this summer. August made that even more apparent. I completely stalled out on reading two of the books I had already started. I’m not bored with them or anything like that. Finding time I can set aside to settle in and focus on reading them is just getting harder. There’s plenty of books I’m interested in reading, but I don’t have the focus to follow through and get started. Maybe the best way to look at this time is an opportunity to expand my TBR list. I wasn’t lacking options for things to read before, but maybe while I’m busy not reading, I’ll add something to my list that will eventually be a new favorite that will spark a new reading marathon.

Books I finished reading in August:

  • Record of a Spaceborn Few – Becky Chambers

Books I’m currently reading:

  • The Subtle Knife – Philip Pullman
  • Heaven Official’s Blessing: Volume 3 – Mo Xiang Tong Xiu
  • The Galaxy, and the Ground Within – Becky Chambers

Do you ever experience reading slumps? I’d love to know if you have any tips or tricks for getting out of them faster. There are so many fantastic books I want to read (and reread) and it’s a shame that I’m not reading them all already.

Let me know what you’re reading! I’m filling up my TBR list and I could use some recommendations.
